Fierce, but painful

I had been stalking these booties since I saw them back in Fall 2009 and finally decided to order them last week. I wear a 35 medium and love the hard and soft vibe of this shoe, but after 30 seconds of trying them on, the patent leather around my ankle began to rub. The leather was very stiff all around and almost looked a bit cheap... which is not okay since I spent 350 dollars on them! I ended up returning them in hopes that I can find a similar Skovgaard pair that is cut a bit differently around the ankle.
