Best Casual Thongs Out There
When I discovered these, I was hesitant to buy them because of the price. But they felt good on my feet, which is something I rarely find in a thong sandal. I have a high arch, and I find most thongs impractical for wear unless I'm sitting down. These, with their real arch support, seemed like they would be practical for me, so I splurged and bought them. I haven't been sorry. I can wear them around the house all day and never have my feet or back hurt. They look nicer than most flip-flops, so you can wear them anywhere. I wore them all day walking around Bar Harbor Maine, some time in the rain, and my feet felt fine at the end of the day. These shoes have a grippy sole, so you can be sure of your footing, and they feel more like a real shoe. They fit snugly, so they don't flop around, but the top is very stretchy so they aren't tight on my almost-wide foot. I like them so much I now have three pairs. I hope Columbia doesn't stop making them, because I plan to keep wearing them.
runs large
Generally I'm a true size 6, but I was in a Columbia outlet store and tried on a couple styles for size and they seemed to run a full size too big. When I ordered, I got both the 5 and 6, as I thought the 5 was the better fit. Wearable right out of the box, really comfortable and great support for a flip flop. Love the color - gin!
The best summer thong ever!
I bought two pairs of these in different colors last year and wore them all summer long. One was a bone or light beige color and in bare feet they became discolored, so I was looking to replace them. I found all these wonderful colors and bought the brown, orange and beige colors. Got them today and they are just like my old ones - supportive but comfortable as slippers. I have a wide foot and a high instep and they are perfect for me. They feel like athletic shoes without the constriction of a full shoe. I LOVE THEM!!
Sole is very comfy, upper had a pressure point though
The look of these and the comfort of the sole were great. They gave plenty of room to my wide feet. The upper however dug into the top of my foot and was extremely uncomfortable. It was simply a bad design. Just one point of the whole upper pulled down as you walked forward, almost as if you had a small rope holding it down. What I had to do was put thick moleskin underneath at the back of the upper, and I had to take a razor and slice the edges at the base on both sides of the upper, this allowed the upper a little more movement so it didn't cut in so badly. I would have been a lot happier after having to go through all this if the thongs were only about $10.
Great Pair of Sandles
These sandles are very comfortable and fit quite well right away (no break in needed). They're a tiny bit big for the size, but it doesn't change the fit or the comfort level. I highly recommend them.
