In 1881 Daniel Green, a young traveling shoe salesman for the Wallace Elliott Company in New York City, visited Dolgeville, New York. Daniel was shown a pair of felt shoes fashioned from waste pieces of piano felt which had been made in the Dolgeville Felt Mill. Daniel Green noticed that these felt shoes were worn by many factory workers to keep their feet warm and comfortable on the cold factory stone floors, and thus a legend in footwear was born.

too fuzzy

Honestly I did not like how fuzzy the slipper was for everyday wear. Just didn't appeal to me.

Quality slippers indeed !

I had to wash thse slippers right after I received them. The came out of the dryer as soft as before. Very good purchase.

Very Soft & Cuddly

I was sorry I didn't order a size up. They are a little too tight for an elastic pull on slipper. The toe goes right up against the toe box not leaving any "wiggle room". Love Daniel Green slippers though.

The most comfortable slippers ever!

I normally wear Dearfoams, but decided to give these a try. They are WONDERFUL!! They are so comfortable to wear and keep my feet nice and warm. I normally wear a size 11 medium, but for me most slippers are too narrow so I ordered an 11 wide and they are a perfect fit. The only thing negative that I could say is that they are fairly open across the top. You will definitely need a pair of socks on to keep the tops of your feet warm. I love these so much that I'm ordering another pair in a different color to wear at work. (One of the perks of being a night shift person where no one sees you!)

Narrow is not so narrow

These slippers are quite wide for a ballet slipper style... and I ordered the "narrow"! The material is very plush and they insole has a lot of padding. They run about a half size small - I normally wear an 8.5 but the 9 fits me better because the elastic around the top is too tight in my size.
