Cute But Small

The shoes are cuter in the flesh than the cute picture! The straps that run from the heel to the forefoot are elasticated so give a secure fit. The sole is very flexible unlike a lot of other espadrille-style shoes and the foot bed is padded. They'll take a few wears to break in (tiniest bit tight at the toes) but once they are broken in I expect they'll be terrific! I usually wear a 39 but ordered a 41 and they fit, both width and length.

I am usually an 8.5, but ordered the size 40 based on the other reviewer's comment that they run small. The 40 is perfect. I've worn them for quite a bit of walking - they are very comfortable and are holding up well.

size issues

I am a very dependable size 7.5 and wear a 38 european size.

These shoes were sooooo tight and narrow. Beautifully made. No issues with cost. Now I am confused about whether I should reorder one or two sizes up. That would put me in a 9 or 10. As it is the indication was that this shoe in a 38 would equal a size 8 and that is definetly not the case. One would wonder why a company would want to sustain the cost of so many returns and wasted time. If I have it in my possession - it can't be sold. Oh well, like I said the shoe is really nicely made and attractive. I am going to try again.
