The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When home-steading drew adventurous New England families to the West during the mid and late 1800's many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey. Today Frye remains true to its roots with its line of heritage boots, but continues to innovate as it introduces chic new handbags, pumps, and sandals to its collection.

Super comfortable from day one

I am very happy with these in the nubuck. They are super comfortable and great looking. I also bought a paid in leather and returned them because the shaft was stiff and did not look like they would break in easily.

Total Disappointment!

I have a pair of Frye sandals which I wear all the time and love, and I have heard such great things about their boots... but I HATE these. They give me horrible blisters and I have only worn them 3 times (with very minimal walking). I wish so desperately I could return them -- they are in pristine condition with only a little wear on the soles. I will never wear these shoes again. Of course, everyone's feet are different, but I kept hoping they would break in and they didn't. All I recommend is, wear them around your house for a few hours and be sure you LOVE them before you wear them outside so you can return them if they don't feel super comfy!

Exactly what I wanted!

This is my third style of frye boots and this is my favorite to date. They dont have as thick of insert as their boots with a tall heel and the shape of the toe will put slight pressure on the big and pinkey toes but just enough to give a secure fit. I love them so much am going to buy in other color option.

This Frye is Fried!

This is my second pair of Frye boots. I own the Harness, and I love them. However, I was really disappointed with this pair. The footbed is hard, and uncomfortable. I literally walked out of the boot due to the poor fit. I do not recommend this boot.
