The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When home-steading drew adventurous New England families to the West during the mid and late 1800's many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey. Love'em, love'em, love'em~~!!!

Bought them in brown in a size 6. As I'm a petit girl (5', 105 lbs), I was a bit worried if they'd be too tall for me. But the boot length was perfect because these boots hit right below my knee. I have thick calves and wide feet for my height and that's why I ordered a size 6 although my feet are actually 5 1/2. These boots not only fit perfectly but also make my legs and feet look slimmer and narrower than they actually are. I'm so happy with my purchase and love the boots so much!

I've been stalking these boots online for a while, so I grabbed the size 8s when they came available (even though I'm invariably an 8 1/2). They fit perfectly, and I'm not particularly narrow of the leg/calf/foot like a lot of the other reviewers. So, I think these fit about 1/2 size too large, like a lot of Frye boots. Otherwise, these boots are absolutely perfect & gorgeous, well worth the (hefty) price tag.

I have slender legs and feet. These boots fit perfect! I wear between 6 1/2 and 7, and purchased 7. They are gorgeous, wore them the day they arrived and they are so comfy...no problems at all. Just ordered a pair for my mom (she's hip) and my coworker asked me if it was ok to order the same pair. Sure!

After I bought these boots, I thought I would return them because I wanted them in brown instead. After I ordered the brown and printed the return slip, I received the brown and decided to keep both pairs of boots. Endless is a wonderful company - you get the boots so quickly, and they are so cool about returns. I am a tall and narrow person, so these boots fit perfectly - may they could be a little taller but they look great and feel fabulous. Great quality, as Frye usually is.

These are my dream boots...had to order them a half size larger,,,hope it works to fit my leg that is larger than the other, They are beautiful. Perfect fit in the toe and tailored fit throughout. A must have!

this boot is just perfect! elegant, timeless, sleek. it is the exact boot that i have been searching for for years. great with jeans tucked in, dresses, skirts, everything. for those of you with a wide foot, this boot is not for you, for us narrow footed ladies, this boot is fantastic. i bought both the black and the brown, and am keeping them both!
