The details...

The Ames dress shoe by Kathryn Kerrigan features an upper made of leather and patent leather, with strappy appeal over a closed-toe design. An adjustable buckle on the patent leather T-strap across the vamp helps give the shoe its cute and distinctive look. The covered and curved low wedge heel lends a pretty yet stable lift. The shoe's breathable leather lining helps keep the foot comfortable with extended wear, and the leather outsole makes it easy to glide across the dance floor. This distinguished yet playful shoe can give a bit of verve to both elegant and casual attire.

classy and perfect

I bought these shoes in green, a size larger than I would normally get, after reading the first review. I am glad I did. I am afraid they would have been a little narrow for me. I am just going to buy some inserts to keep my feet in place. I love the shoes, the quality and the style.

Why so narrow?

I saw these shoes and had to have them. They're so lovely and (wonder of wonders) come in very large sizes. I ordered the Verde in a size 13, a size up from my regular because I had heard they ran small. In fact, when I received them I realized that the length is just fine, it's the toe bed where the trouble starts. It looked as though the had simply stretched out a size 6 til it was long enough. The foot bed was almost an inch too narrow (and my feet are not terribly wide). I could get my feet into them but it looked quite ludicrous and I found myself in a fair amount of pain. I was so, so sad as I have my heart set on these. I'm in the process of returning my first pair and reordering, I think I'll try two sizes up and cross my fingers. At this point, I would recommend these only to people with rather narrow feet as otherwise they may be uncomfortable. They are beautiful though...
