shoe fettish
shoe was super comfortable but kept coming off my heels. Tried putting some padding in back to keep on but still having issues.
far, far too wide
I was so excited about these shoes -- the color is fantastic, and they give really good support. BUT, BEWARE THE WIDTH! I have admittedly narrow heels, but medium shoes normally work fine. These shoes, however, are just gaping on both sides and at the back. I simply cannot walk in them -- a fact i unfortunately did not discover until I'd spent a couple hours in them at work, breaking them in and rendering them unreturnable. Unless you have very, very wide feet, especially in your heels, I'd think twice.
Comfortable but big
Very comfortable sandal, I wore them with my jeans and they looked great. I am a size 10 and wish I had ordered a half size less. I am 5" 11" and these did not make me look out of place I felt cute and powerful.
Too wide but comfortable.
I normally wear a 9.5 or 10 and I had to order these in a 10. The length fit but they seem very wide. Especially at the heel. I had to add cushions and a heel rubber.
The other reviewer is right to say it is like walking on pillows, though. They are very comfortable. The buttery leather is soft and the insole is nicely padded. I ordered pairs in Marigold and Geranium and kept the Geranium even though they were both too wide.
One thing I would mention about the Geranium (the Marigold did not have this look) is that the pigment/dye of the shoe is slightly irregular and inconsistent. They are not one solid color - they have a more natural look with light and dark areas blending together. I don't think this was apparent from the web photos.

So comfortable!
These shoes have a padded foam inner sole which is truly comfortable, it's almost like walking on pillows. The front part of the shoe hugs my foot without pinching. My only problem with these espadrilles is that they have a tendancy to slip off my heels because the leather is stiff at the back. However, I think that once they have "worn" in a bit they will be perfect. I bought them in marigold yellow and the style looks great with jeans. The heel height is just right too - lengthens the leg but doesn't have you teetering ridiculously.
