plastic heel tips should be illegal

I just dropped these off at the shoemaker even though new, to get the plastic heel tip replaced with a rubber one. About 3 times the first and only day i have worn them, the plastic heel caused a slip and a hard turned ankle. At my age of 65 this could be serious.
I think if Nine West would be concerned about their customers they would not use plastic heel tips. The boot is a cute style and is a bit larger in the fit ( however it may be the loose style), and my foot is narrow.
