Reebok was founded for one of the best reasons possible: athletes wanted to run faster. So in the 1890s, Joseph William Foster made some of the first known running shoes with spikes in them. By 1895, he was in business making shoes by hand for top runners; and before long his fledgling company, J.W. Foster and Sons, developed an international clientele of distinguished athletes.

Disappointed

Posted by:  Little Star (Connecticut) Oct 24, 2009
While the shoes look nice and the workmanship good, I was disappointed to find them fitting so sloppy. They tend to run large, so if you buy WIDE, that's exactly what you will get, only really, really wide. For now, they will do, but next time I'll get something smaller if I get this style again, or just get a different make. I can't detect any arch support. I will say this, they do have plenty of toe room. No chance for cramping there.
