I really like the style and color of the boot, but in the end they are painful to wear.
1. They are difficult to put on and take off.
2. The problem area is the ankle and achilles- the material is not flexible and they rub against my feet.
3. I should have returned them but I thought I could break them in.
I still havent.

I usually wear a 8.5 in Steve madden shoes and that is what i ordered. The boot fits good but is narrow in the toe area. I was thinking it would be a good fit since it is not pointy toed but almond toe. Secondly, while the shaft may be too big for people with normal calves, it was a good fit for my wide calves, however, the ankle opening is too narrow and it started hurting that part of my leg after abt an hr of wearing.Looks great with skinny jeans tucked in or tights.I got it in the cognac color and it is truly gorgeous. I have worn it about 10 times now and I don't have a single scuff on it.I don't think it is going to last more then 2 seasons, but for the price it was a good purchase. Overall comfort was just ok too if you are not walking around in them all day long. I am ok with this purchase.

Just two things to be aware of... the leather is very porous and not smooth. The picture here does it justice to the look and feel of the leather, however on the steve maddan site, it looks completely different.
The other thing is that it bunched at the ankle.
If you are looking for a tight fitting structured classic riding boot, this isn't what you want to buy.

I've had a hard time trying to find a nice pair of flat knee-high boots. These fit the bill nicely but they aren't very comfortable. I went up half a size to wear a thick pair of socks and there is barely enough room for my toes. On the plus side, these are not too shiny at all like I was afraid of. Also, there is a buckle to adjust for more or less room for your calves.

I usually wear a 7.5 in shoes, but had to go up to an 8 in these, but they fit really well everywhere else. In general, the quality of the boot is great, as well as the fit. A great look to tuck jeans into, or to wear with leggings and a dress/skirt.

I wanted to buy these boots for weeks before I finally decided to take the plunge. I'm 5'1ish and the shaft is pretty high on me but it still looks good. Cute shoes and a good deal for the price.
The leather scuffs kind of easily but it doesn't look bad, plus you can always polish the shoes. I like the adjustable strap on the top of the shaft. It is kind of hard to wear them with socks but I've mostly been wearing tights with them.

This book ran small, but also the boot shaft is large around the ankle, so it looks funny really loose there and then a bit tighter up higher. I had to tighten the buckle up top all the way, but it still was not as tight as I would like. I really wanted a low heal boot in this color, but I could not make this work.

These boots are VERY comfortable. Even after wearing them all day and walking around in them all day they did not make my feet hurt. They are pretty wide in the shaft area; jeans fit pretty well tucked in. Would probably be too wide on someone with thin calves, but on me they are perfect. The leather does scuff easily so you have to be careful with taking care of them. The color is exactly as it looks in the picture. I did not like that they are very slippery. You have to walk very carefully and that is why they did not get five stars.

May I add that the Intyces from Nordstrom (although they were the same size as the ones I ordered from endless) were too big around the ankle, making it look like a rainboot! I immediately returned. I will forever order my shoes from endless.com! Great service, and great product. The boot wasn't the quality I would have preferred, but for the price I would've lived with it if they had fit. I considered returning them for a 7, but then the shaft would have been much too wide for my leg, so I just returned them for a refund. I also wasn't crazy about the gold hardware, since most of my bags and belts are rustic or silver hardware.

It's a bit baggy at the ankle and if you have skinnier calves, this boot is probably not for you. This will definitely work for those with larger calves.
The pebbled leather can make the boot look more casual than other boots I've looked at but I still like the boot nonetheless. Very comfortable and looks great with leggings, jeans, skirts etc.

These boots are pretty much exactly what I expected. The micro-wedge is great - it gives you a little height, but it feels like you're wearing flats. I could walk in these boots all day. I think I could go out dancing in these boots. The buckle at the top of the shaft does allow for a bit of customization to the the calf width, which is great for those of us born with smaller or larger than "average" calves. I personally have a slightly wider calf and most boots don't fit me. These ones fit great with no stretching required; I could probably even wear them over jeans. Also, I live in Seattle and it has been really rainy here this week. I've worn these boots out in the rain several times and not only did my feet stay dry, but the leather didn't stain at all. My one critique is that the cognac colored leather is not as nice looking as I would ideally hope - it's a bit grainy - but overall, this is a great boot.

I have thin calves (13") and despite the fact that the shaft had a buckle at the top to adjust the boot opening, it was way too saggy in the ankle and just ended up bunching up and looking bad. With the buckle on the last hole, it made the shaft sort of puff out, since all that leather still needs to go somewhere. All in all, a disappointing look.

I originally bought these boots in cognac, but exchanged them for the blacks ones instead. The black ones are more versatile and look more "money" than the cognac. Some of my girlfriends have the cognac colored ones and I can tell you first hand that they all have scuff marks and scratches on their boots after just a few weeks of owning the boots. As for the fit, I usually wear a 7 or 7.5. I originally got these in a size 7, but I ended up exchanging for a 7.5 and it fits perfectly--since I like to wear socks. Also, the toe box is a bit narrow so I'd go up half a size just for that alone. For those that wonder if the ankle area slouches, it does slouch a bit. However, it's not sloppy slouchy. FYI... There is a buckle on the top of the boot that you can adjust. Since my calves are small, I have mine on the last hole to keep my boots up instead of sagging. It still does sag a bit around the ankle, but that's to be expected.

There is a buckle on the side so you can adjust to make them fitted or slouchy. I get compliments from these boots EVERY time I wear them. They are worth the price. My leather looks great and I've had them for months. They don't look cheap and both the black and the cognac are the perfect shade. I originally bought the boot by Loeffler Randall which are twice as much. I ended up returning them after I tried these on. I have a pair of riding boots and those are much more stiff and are higher. These boots are a bit more slouchy and i dont think they looked like riding boots. i actually got them at a discount store and paid half the price. i didnt buy them as riding boots so maybe that is why i am so happy with them.

I agree with the previous reviewer. These boots are nice but definitely not worth the price. I bought the cognac leather and they are a lot more orange than I expected and the quality of the leather is really poor considering the very high price! They are also very loose and droopy looking around the ankle area. Not reccomended if you ask me but if they are 50 to 60% off then go for it anything more than that is just not worth the $.

I think this boot is nice, but a bit expensive. I tried the cognac color and didn't like the leather. I ordered the grey suede and at first it seemed to have discoloration issues but it might be the way the suede is brushed. I will have to play with it. I think it's best to wait until these go on sale as I am sure they will.
