Sanuk was started by surfers in southern California in the late '90s who were looking for footwear that reflected their lighthearted way of life. Founder Jeff Kelley was disappointed to see little selection in a category of footwear that had become his main shoe staple: the flip flop. Jeff had always been interested in footwear and with a little help from a few friends Sanuk was born. Dressier, but not as comfy as Paydays

"I was excited to try another pair of Sanuk flip flops after the success I had with the Payday style, which have great arch support (for flip flops of course). I wanted something a bit dressier though, so tried these. They fit the bill - slightly dressier than regular flip flops (not by much though). These don't have the same arch comfort as the Paydays though, and my feet are achy after a short period and are craving my Danskos. Also, my feet are a bit narrow, so I'm swimming a bit in these. A bit pricy for not-a-perfect-fit, but overall, decent - I'll keep them."

Not as nice looking in person

They fit great and are very comfortable. BUT the faux leather and suede look decent online, but are not very nice in person. I thought I was getting a slightly dressier flip flop but they are very casual and synthetic looking. The shoes are decent but not what I thought they would be so I think I am going to return them.
