Steve Madden, the company, was founded by Steve Madden, the man, in 1990 in Brooklyn, where he started out making trend-advancing shoes one pair at a time. Cute, just wish I knew they were made out of HORSE!!

I was shocked! I spotted these on a girl on Fifth Ave & sought them out. Went to a Madden store to try them on first. They need a gel insert for support & comfort so order 1/2 size up. Store did not ID them as horse, but hang tag on shoe from endless purchase did. After getting past yuck factor, they are great looking & $20 less buying through endless.com
