I LOVED these boots from the moment I opened the box. Wore them right away and got 4 compliments immediately, by the way that never happens to me by the way. They add a stylish edge to my outfits, very understated, thick leather not buttery but adore them anyway...Great price, too.

I bought these boots in brown in 2009, no lie. I had no idea that Steven Madden still made these - now I'm considering getting them in black. They broke in wonderfully, and despite regular (2-3 times per week) use over the last three autumns/winters, with the snow and the salt, they're still holding strong. The leather is great quality, I get compliments on them all the time, and they are the most comfortable shoes I own.

I bought the brown version a couple years ago and HAD to have the black ones this year. I get compliments on these boots every time I wear them. They look great and are super comfy!

this boot looked like it had potential. Once I received it failed miserably. It looks cheap & the fit is totally off. I own about four pairs of steve madden boots all in size 6 1/2...so I was very surprised this one did not fit. It might even be off by a whole size & not just a half. I did eventually find a great boot that I love by franco sarto & for the same price.

I got the brown color and they are actually darker than the picture. However the boots are still of beautiful color and comfortable to wear. I'm only 5'1" and these are perfect height for me as "tall boots" since regular knee-high boots are always too high for me. Received lots of positive comments!

Love these boots! This Frenchhh boot is a good substitute for the Steve Madden Verona boot (no longer made). Very similar except these boots have a rubber sole. Wish the sole was wood like the Verona- but to be honest the rubber sole broke the shoe in a little faster making it a comfortable fit quickly. Upon their arrival I was nervous about the shiny quality of the leather & as someone else posted- they looked like rubber rain boots. But within a day or two of wearing the leather broke-in and now the boots look great & clearly look like leather & not shiny rubber. I have got a ton of compliments on these boots every time I wear them. They are a good, simple-stylish boot perfect for wearing with skinny jeans, boot-cut jeans, tights, or pantyhose & a skirt. I hope Steve Madden continues to make these because I will wear these boots for a lifetime.

Ordered these for my daughter for Christmas. Concerned about sizing due to other comments but ordered her normal size. She says they fit. The color is NOT as shown in the picture. The brown ones are darker and more of a cognac than pictured. She loves them.

I order this boots in brown, they arrived quickly but the color shown in the website is completely different from the one that I have received, it is actually a very dark chocolate brown. Anyhow, I still love the design of the boots, the leather is nice and soft and after reading the reviews saying that they run small I ordered a half size bigger and they fit perfectly although it was a mission at the beginning to try to get my foot in it, after a couple of times it gets easier, If you are going to wear thick socks I will recommend a size bigger, for all other normal socks, half size bigger is fine. They are comfortable, affordable and look great, highly recommended, eve with girls with big calf like me. It only gets 4 starts because of the color difference.

I was looking for a reasonably priced boot that was comfortable and could take the beating of walking around European countries and their respective cobblestone walks. They broke in nicely. My heel pops up a bit in the right boot, but that's pretty normal for me and I don't think it's the boot. I do wish it had a better sole. I've already worn the sole smooth in less than 2 months of wear so I wish it had a more durable sole with greater traction to handle wintery weather. They are shiny as another person commented, and the leather is a bit cheap, but because of that they can handle a lot more abuse than a super soft leather. Happy with my purchase.

Perfect Casual Boot

I live in these boots. Bought them 2 months ago and I'd wear them every day. So comfortable. I am 5'9" and 138 lbs. I have normal width feet and thin calves. The boot fits nice and snug around my foot with room for thicker socks. (I usually end up wearing sports socks.) The calf is a little wider than I normally like, but it is the "look" of the boot; it's casual and meant to be wider. I do have thinner calves and have trouble with boots, but these work for me; I just buckled the top to the smallest hole. Love them. The leather is rich looking and distresses slightly with wear. I'm OK with the rubber bottom. I'd probably fall on my bum if it weren't for the traction. Get them, you'll live in them.

Narrower than Most

These were absolutely perfect until I couldn't get my feet in them. I haven't had any problems getting my feet into other boots, so it was a disappointment when I got these out of the box. I was eventually able to get them in, but I felt like the circulation was being cutoff. Sad.

I ordered these boots, they arrived quickly, when I opened the box they looked like a completely different pair than the ones I ordered, they are a much darker brown than what is shown in the picture. That being said I still loved the boots, and after reading reviews saying they ran small I ordered a size 10, which were huge on me, so now I have to return them regardless. Although the color is wrong, it is a great boot.

The boots aren't tan like they look in the picture! The color is called "cognac" and it is VERY dark, like a chocolate color. I don't understand how the color can be so different from what's pictured. I may have wanted to keep them if the color was what I expected but since it's way off... they're going back.

I loved the fit and style of this boot. The only issue I had with it was that the boots were too shiny for my taste. I was hoping for them to have a more "broken in" look. Otherwise, they would have been 5 stars and a keeper for me!

I have to say, I followed the reviewers' recommendation and ordered up half size but they were huge! I ended up having to reorder in my normal size and they are perfect fit - even with sox.

They are a great looking boot. I love the fact that there is no zipping it up. The leather is soft and even though my calves are small, I just tightened the buckle one notch and its the perfect boot for me.

It has taken me two years of searching for a riding boot. I was looking for two things; ALL leather upper, and a shaft that didn't gape. I'm so happy to have found these, I am actually considering a second pair in brown.

I love these boots. They are very versatile for me. I wear them dressed down with jeans or leggings tucked in, and dressed up with a dress or skirt and tights. They are the mix I was looking for of a little rough/conductor looking, but still refined enough to not look like I am trying to be the teenager I most definitely am not. I wore these boots a lot over the late fall and winter, and continue to wear them in new ways now. I am very happy with this purchase and with the customer service at Endless. I had and issue with my first shipment and they took care of it immediately. This was a great experience.

I have been looking for these boots for 2 years. Had I designed my boots, this is the pair I would have designed. They are very comfortable to wear all day. I usually wear a size 7, but ordered them in a 7 1/2 so I can use my winter socks. Perfect.

I have been looking for a boot that I can wear with jeans..tucked in or under a bootleg that is comfortable and this one fits the bill. I have hard to fit calves (around 15" in circumference)and these boots leave just enough room to tuck a skinny jean in, but not so much that they are sloppy otherwise. The foot portion of the boot runs between a 1/2 to 3/4 size small. I normally wear a 7 and ordered a 7.5. It is a very snug fit but think it will be perfect when they get broken in. If I had gone up a full size they would have worked well with a thicker sock. I do have feet a bit on the wide side so that needs to be factored in. All in all...love this boot and can't wait until they are broken in!

After a very negative experience with Frye Veronica Slouch boots, which were falling apart within 2 wears, I was thrilled to find these boots. They are very similar in style to the Frye boots, but of much better craftsmanship and durability and at a very reasonable price.
They do run about a half size large but I am wearing them with thick winter socks and they are great!

I love it!

I just got these in yesturday. Got them in Congac. They do run a 1/2 size smaller. I'm usually a size 6 but I read on other websites that than can run small, so I i decided to get them in a 6 1/2 and I'm so happy with them. The material is great, the comfort and feel of them is amazing.

I love these boots and would have hoped to have bought them in black before they sold out! They are not a snug boot,and there is room to tuck them into your jeans and cute enough to wear with a skirt or dress without looking sloppy. I entered that they were true to size because really they are, but they also have room all around. I guess the only negative is there is no arch support.

I have been on the hunt for a reasonably priced pair of "riding" boots for some time. These boots are super comfy and easy to wear. My only "complaint" is that they are pretty wide in the leg, and when buckled down they "bunch" a little bit. The width makes for easy tucking in of pant legs, but a little loose with skirts.

I thought these boots were very nice. Having muscular calves, it's often hard for me to find a boot that will accomodate, and I was a bit skeptical about pull-ons, but there was no problem here. The one thing is that it took me about five days to break these in enough to feel comfortable wearing them outside. Part of the problem was my bunyon, which makes the upper part of my right foot a bit wider. They do break in though after a few wears. I also noticed that the fit was overall tighter/smaller on my right foot than my left, but it is not so bad that I am uncomfortable - esp. after a few wears. Overall, a cute, good quality boot that fits well.

I realize that pull-on boots are more prone to slippage, but my heel was all over the place when I tried to walk in these. Plus, it seems like the sole is extra stiff compared to other boots I've worn. These boots look great, but they're going back to the warehouse.

A great look doesn't equal a great fit!

This boot looks amazing, but it doesn't fit well at all. When I tried to walk around even a little, my heal kept sliding up. The boot shaft also wasn't wide enough to accomidate some of the current styles.

The Cognac is a rich brown; it's a bit darker than the photo which makes it look more red than it is. The boot is well made with a nice quality leather. Fit is great. I take either a 7 or 7.5 depending on the shoe. I read on another website to order a half size up so I got a 7.5 and the fit is perfect. The buckles on the boot are adjustable, which is great for making the ankle or shaft tighter or looser depending on what you're wearing. I really like these!

Finally found a pair of tall boots that fit my calfs!!! The shaft fits great, enough room to tuck my jeans in them, which I could NEVER do with any other boot. Love these, bought both colors :)

Great classic style with substantial and soft leather. Overall, a very nice boot. Was thrilled to find a boot with a slightly larger than usual calf width (and pleased that Endless lists accurate calf sizes for all boots). For me, most standard boot shafts are too tight, especially to wear over jeans but most plus-size or "wide shaft" boots are too wide. These are right in between and fit amazingly!

The boot is great, but where your foot actually has to slip down into the boot is so thin it is almost impossible to get your foot into it:(
