Steve Madden, the company, was founded by Steve Madden, the man, in 1990 in Brooklyn, where he started out making trend-advancing shoes one pair at a time. It was not long after that the Steve Madden focus on "now-ness" earned rave reviews from young female fans mad for the funky, chic, and yet competitively priced footwear it produced. The company popularized the "dressy sneaker," and continues to man the forefront of trends.

need this in a wide

I love the look of this boot. If it came in a wide, I would order and keep it.

Misleading

These are pigskin suede, so if you're expecting nice smooth cow leather (as one generally does when one orders leather boots), you'll be sorely disappointed. I don't know why Endless doesn't tell you what they're made of, since every other site that carries them does!

size gremlins at work...

I usually wear a 9. Ordered in a 9.5 to wear with socks. Boot felt more like an 8. Could only get it on with no socks. Sent back, of course.

Not convinced on first try

I am a size 9M with thick socks, so I ordered these in 9M thinking them good for winter. My impression of them is not very good, especially considering they are Steve Maddens. First off, they looked very small. When I tried to put them on with socks, I couldn't get my foot in them. I then tried to put them on barefoot and was able to get them on with some effort. I took one step and had to wrestle them off because my toes were scraping the inside of the boot. I had to look again at the size because they felt more like a 7M. Also, the leather is VERY cheap looking. Yes it says leather upper, and it does smell like leather, but looks and feels like cardboard. It looks and feels like a very thin sheet of leather over cardboard. However, it is a very weighty boot that in essence looks pretty and feel like they would be comfortable if my foot didn't fit exactly with no room to spare. I ordered a 9.5M, so hopefully they will fit better because this is the only design that I've found like this.
