I just bought another one of these bags. I am so glad they have lowered the price. The original $60 price tag was a little much for a $20 donation. Good for you WFP! It is a great, roomy bag for toting all your stuff and is for a good cause to boot! I recommend!

Yes, I totally agree with many of the reviews here. It is utterly ridiculous to purchase this item given the lousy donation that is made to the cause. Give me a break, people- wouldn't (or shouldn't) you rather donate directly to the WFP, or Friends of the World Food Program, perhaps? $40 for a made in China mass-produced cheap bag? I'll pass...

I sponsor a child for $24 and I feed the children for $25, why in the world would I buy a bag for $60 so that World Food could get $20. Donating the full $60 would feed three children for the whole school year according to your own advertising.

Please, give us a break what new way will they find to make money.
If anyone wants to help world hunger just get in touch with WFO and send money to their projects.
these bags must cost about 50 cents each in CHINA.

I would totally get behind this, buy them, recommend them to my entire network of friends and family IF the portion donated were more generous than $20 on a $60 bag, I mean come on, really. I love the mission idea behind this, but if our hearts are truly breaking for the hungry of the world, can't we be more generous and selfless? Just my thoughts.

Only $20 goes toward FEED? I love the bag, very much disgusted by the price. I would pay $40 for it — $20 for the bag, $20 to donate. I'd even pay $60 if $40 were donated. But to pay $40 for a bag that was manufactured in CHINA??? That means the bag probably cost no more than $2 to produce. No thanks. It's cute, but I'd rather send my money directly to this program rather than do it this way. And for those of you critiquing how the bag is made, are you kidding me too? For goodness sake, it's made out of FEED bag materials and the gist of the program is to donate to a cause. I cannot believe people are being picky about pockets and what not. Great cause. Not great in terms of who's really benefiting financially here.

Isn't this a rip-off? I mean, only $20 is donated? $40 for this bag?! Give me a break. Shouldn't the manufacturer donate instead of profit from it? I'm sure they paid less than $5 for the material and labor. I was excited with this idea until I learned the truth. No thank you!

This is a great bag for a great cause. I love it when people ask me about it and I can direct them on where to purchase and what the cause is for. It's a fantastic way to spread the word.

The purpose behind the FEED 1 bag is awesome with feeding one child for one school year with the purchase of one purse. BUT I didn't know that only $20 of the $60 for the bag goes to feeding the one child. I also, wish the purse was a bit more compact so you can store it with a bit more ease. I did purchase the FEED 100 bag, one that folds into itself, and that one is only $30. It's a lot more portable, and easier to use than this bag. This bag is sturdier and more "heavy duty", and is reversable but I'm not sure how much use I'll get out of this bag compared to the FEED 100 bag I purchased.
Wish the Donation portion was Larger

This is very cool and makes a great statement when used. It has many nice features, as it's reversible with pockets. But, you actually pay $40 for the bag. Only $20 is a donation. I wish the manufacturer would be more benevelent.

A well made tote bag lined in a soft cotton, roomy with handles long enough to fit over the shoulder.
