For true boot enthusiats....
This is a great boot if you know boots and know what you are buying. Yes, it is loose in the calves, but this is how the boot is designed. If you want a boot that hugs your calf, you must buy a boot with a zipper or made of a man-made stretch material. No non-zipper leather boot is going to hug the average woman's calf. The shaft is meant to be loose so you can slouch them or wear them tall over jeans. As for the quality of the boot, dolce vita is a high quality boot maker. The leather is high quality and even the soles of the boots are leather - an indication of good craftsmanship. A good shoe has the durability to be repaired when it scuffs or wears, but cheap shoes cannot be repaired. This is a beautiful well-made boot for the price. Some may find the heel higher than expected. If you have "plump" feet or ankles, you will find this a difficult boot to put on.
Nice boot for naked legs.
I thought I found the perfect boot that I was searching for..... loved the style and the tan color. Read the prior reviews and concur with the complaint that the boot does not fit the calf correctly. The boot only fits around a leg without pants, including tights! Thankfully I convinced myself to return them as the only way to wear them is on bare legs. Otherwise the "foot" felt true to size, & are comfortable, but the shaft is too tight around the calf if you intend to wear your jeans tucked in them.
pretty disappointed
These boots were a huge disappointment. As noted by another reviewer, they are not a well-formed boot and they sag, a lot...even with boot leg jeans tucked in if you have skinny calves. The fit is more like a slouchy boot and not a snug tall boot. Morevover, the fit at the ankle is puffy and not snug...looks kind of goofy. This was my first online purchase for shoes and will likely be my last. I probably should have returned them, but with my hectic schedule I just never got around to it.....
Saggy for skinny calves
This is a comfy high-heeled boot - the leather is soft and supple. Maybe a little too supple - it wouldn't stay up on my skinny calves and one boot sagged a bit more than the other. It's not a form-fit boot if that's what you're looking for... it's baggy around the ankles. Also, the description states the heel is 3 1/4"... It is actually 3 3/4" to be accurate. (If you're tall, it makes a difference!)
i LOVE these boots
These boots are amazingly comfy,
they do run skinny in the calves so i had them stretched a bit and after wearing them they loosed a little more, the leather is buttery and soft. These boots are perfect to dress up or down!

VERY COMFORTABLE....., BUT..
These boots are extremely comfortable. I can wear them all day long, but they look kind of boring!
I don't like the way they fit my legs and for some reason don't find them exciting. Please don't ask me why, but I guess despite they are extremely comfortable, I will send them back. I am looking for SEXY boots. So I will keep looking until I find them.

Gorgeous Boot, but very skinny calve area!
Gorgeous pretty leather, but unfortunately, the calve area is QUITE skinny, and I have average sized calves and could barely get them on... so no way this would work other jeans, only bare skin or with tights...
Perfect Pair of Boots!!!
These are such a classic boot. The heel is not so high that you can wear them all day. They look great with a dress or with jeans. The leather is so supple. Because there is no hardware they can go with any style. There is not a lot of room in the toe area but it is not overly restricting. Just a perfect pair of boots, and with the price you can't go wrong.
