A size 39 boot fit my 8.5 to 9 size foot perfectly. My calf is 14 and 5/8" at its widest and I had some concerns about the shaft being too tight given that Endless.com stated the shaft to be 14 and 1/2" . The boot easily slides over my calf; I measured around the outside of the opening and it is about 15 and 1/2." This is a well-made boot and the quality touches include 1) extra material under the buckle that allows for expansion if one needs it and 2) the buckles are functional (not just ornamental) and allow for the fit to be adjusted.
