Nice color, comfort just ok

These shoes aren't bad; they aren't the best Skechers I've owned either. They're a nice dark cranberry color -- more with a tinge of purple in them than true dark red -- and a bit of metallic sheen that gives a modern edge to a retro-vibe sneaker. They come with matching cranberry-colored laces as well as the light-gray ones shown. The soles are really hard for sneakers - I had to put an insole in just to bear to wear them all day. Not nearly as hard as the ballet flats that are so typical now and give no support whatsoever, though. I may like them more as I break them in, but I've owned several pairs of Skechers and they usually feel great right out of the box.
