Hard to walk in, but very sexy
Ok, this shoe is just beautiful. I ordered it in the Grey (Green) color, and it's just a stunner. The heel is very high, and if you are accustomed to that, excellent. But the shoe is a bit stiff and uncomfortable to walk in. I always wear a 7.5 and I ordered the shoe in that size, but it does slightly tighter than usual. It's a gorgeous shoe, a real standout. Just bear in mind that if you plan on using insoles to improve comfort, you should buy a half-size up.
great style, but hard and impossible to walk
the style is great, the fabrics and finish as well. but once you try on the shoe it is stiff. the frame does not bend at all so you clomp when you walk. wish the designer had invested a bit in the soles...too bad as it is great looking.
Not as cute as I thought
I was looking for a Mary Jane with a twist and this Dolce Vita patent number looks just a little naughty to be different. However, in person the contrast of the patent with the rest of the shoe is not as dramatic. Still cute but I had to send them back because the heel is too high for work.
Gorgeous Shoe
This shoe is absolutely fabulous. I bought them in the Graphite and they are really nice in person. Excellent fit comes with a dust bag for them, and they run really true to size do not order any size down !!! You will get your moneys worth for sure nice quality.
Likely to inspire compliments because of their look!
I purchased the Mary Janes in Gray. I was drawn to the shoes because I thought that they looked different from your average Mary Jane. They seemed to stand out more in comparison. Any person considering purchasing this item might want to order down a half of a size because they run large. Of course, the sizing can be fixed with inserts. There was an indentation on the side of the left shoe (right under the button) that almost feels (on the outer side of the shoe) like a piece of protruding/ poking metal. I don't know if its a design flaw or what; however, it is barely noticeable when you are wearing the shoe. You would have to be close to the shoe to see it. Note that it does not affect the feel of the shoe's inside.
This shoe doesn't run too big!!!
I made the mistake of listening to this site's advice that the shoe ran a 1/2 size too big and it doesn't. I have to now order my size 7.5 and return the 7 and wait for a refund. what a pain in the butt, if this advice wasn't on the page, I would have just ordered my size!!!!
