Comfy, Cute, Sturdy, All Year
I chose this shoe for the easy velcro closure, the sturdier looking construction, the simple profile and the versatility of wearing them with jeans, khakis, shorts. We have usually bought Chuck Taylors, but the Umi's leather sides allow it to function better through the winter and the reinforced toe offers more durability. It also seems to be more cushioned and supportive than the Chuck All-Star. Can't beat the easy on and off of velcro, and the shoe is very cute-- I do not like the look of most velcro shoes.
At first the shoe looked way too big but my son's foot fit perfectly in it.
